Join Alicia, our Community Science Coordinator, as she collects water samples and environmental observations at three sites along False Creek: Olympic Village, Brokers' Bay, and Vanier Park.
Time: 10:30am - 2:30pm
Place: We will meet in front of the Creekside Community Recreation Centre, located at 1 Athletes Way, Vancouver, V5Y 0B1.
Modes of Transportation: We will walk between all of our False Creek water monitoring sites.
You will need:
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Waterproof, grippy footwear is great for navigating potentially wet, slippery docks. We recommend raincoats, rain pants, and gloves (on cold days). Hats and sunglasses are a must have during the summer.
- Comfortable footwear, as we will walk between most sites.
- A change of clothes/shoes for rainy days
- A snack and water bottle
- Sunscreen
